Julie Petraborg is a founding member of The Petraborg Law Firm, which is Women’s Business Enterprise certified. She has experience working with large and small employers, insurers and third party administrators on a variety of workers’ compensation cases. Julie has extensive experience appearing before the Division of Workers’ Compensation, the Labor and Industrial Relations Commission, and a variety of state civil court venues. She has extensive experience representing clients in all phases of workers’ compensation claims, and a thorough knowledge of Missouri and Illinois workers’ compensation laws. As a way to stay current with the most recent changes in the law, Julie is a regular presenter at a variety of continuing education seminars, and also provides tailored training sessions for clients by request.
Julie strongly believes in providing prompt, quality service and superior client communication, so that clients have a thorough understanding of their options and potential exposure at each stage of a case. She believes thorough preparation and attention to detail is essential to represent clients effectively in everything from a full scale hearing to a pro se walk-in conference. Preparation is a powerful tool not only for hearing, but for settlement as well, as many cases can be settled quickly and fairly when the client is confident it has been given thorough legal review for defenses and exposure.
Julie’s representation of diverse clients (large, small, self-insured, and third party administrators) has given her experience tailoring her representation to the particular needs of a client, whether that is controlling costs, resolving a case quickly, or handling collateral civil or other issues that would otherwise require hiring additional counsel. The firm serves to promote its clients’ best interests tenaciously and professionally.
